MPJE: What you need to know

In this blog article, we outline important information you should know about the MPJE before you sit for the exam.

  1. The MPJE is made up of 120 questions.

  2. 100 MPJE questions are used to calculate your final score; the remaining 20 questions are pretest questions.

  3. The MPJE is a computerized adaptive exam.

  4. You have 2.5 hours to complete the MPJE.

  5. All questions must be answered in the order presented. You cannot skip or go back.

  6. There are no scheduled breaks for the MPJE; however, you may take a break that will be counted against the overall time allowed for the exam.

  7. You can attempt to take the MPJE exam 5 times/jurisdiction to pass. However, the board of pharmacy might have its own restrictions.

  8. In the unfortunate event of NOT passing the MPJE, a candidate must wait for 30 days before retaking the exam. The waiting period can vary by jurisdiction. It is recommended to check with your board of pharmacy.

  9. It is best to answer ALL questions presented to you.
